Rodale Electronics Inc provides the AN/ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispenser system to the U.S. Military and NATO.

The AN/ALE-47 Countermeasure Dispenser System (CMDS) is an integrated, reprogrammable, computer controlled system to dispense expendables/decoys, designed to employ electronic and infrared countermeasures according to a program de­veloped and implemented by the aircrew to enhance aircraft survivability.

The AN/ALE-47 provides the aircrew with a “smart” countermeasures dispensing system, allowing the aircrew to optimize the countermeasures employed against anti­aircraft threats. The AN/ALE-47 system is an upgraded version for the Tri-Services, which is fully automatic and programmable to better enhance its capabilities depending on aircraft mission.

The AN/ALE-47 CMDS is fielded in 22 countries and is integrated onto rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft. The AN/ALE-47 offers seamless integration onto many different types of platforms including AH-1, AH-64, A109, AV-8 B, AWAC, C-5, C-17, CV-22, CH-46, C-130, E8, E2C, P-3, RC-135, KC-135, F-5, F-15, F-16, FA-18, JAS Grippen, H-60, Improved Cargo Helicopter, JSF, ARH and Others.
