AN/ALQ-167 Threat Radar Simulator Pods (TRS)
Introduction
The new generation of AN/ALQ-167 TRS Pods developed for NATO's Multiservice Electronic Warfare Support Group (MEWSG) represents the leading edge of Electronic Warfare (EW) technology. These versatile pods are qualified on a wide variety of aircraft
The AN/ALQ-167 TRS Pods cover the frequency range from H-Band to High J-Band. The systems can also be configured for internal aircraft installation for use on drone or RPV platforms and ground based applications.
Applications
- Train shipboard operators to identify inbound radar threats in the presence of jamming (dual jamming/radar simulator operation)
- Provide training during exercises by combining simultaneous jamming, threat radar simulation and chaff.
- Provide training during exercises by combining simultaneous threat radar simulation in combination with tow targets.
- Test and evaluation of RWR systems.
