Chairman John B. Clement announced that Rodale Electronics exhibited its Advanced Next Generation Capabilities AN/ALQ-167 Jamming Pod at the Association of Old Crows Dixie Crow Symposium in Warner Robins, Georgia. The all digitally controlled pod was developed to counter legacy and new emerging threats.

Mr. Clement also proclaimed that Rodale is in its 50th continuous year as a defense contractor.

The ECM set provides realistic simulation of present and projected ECM threats to evaluate ECM capabilities of Weapon Systems and training weapon system operators.

Mr. Clement emphasized that we have been doing business with Naval Air Systems Command for over 20 years, a period that included several wars.

The ISO registration audit was performed in January by BSI. Rodale demonstrated the importance of improving quality procedures. Rodale staff received outstanding marks for their effort to enhance customer service.

Mr. Clement emphasized that the 3 year re-certification program is an ongoing commitment to the company’s mission of positive references and follow-on customer business.

The Enhanced Position Locating Reporting System (EPLRS) provides secure, jam-resistant, near real-time data communications support of the Army Battlefield Communications System, (ABCS). The EDPA produced under contract by Rodale, provides primary power to the EPLRS radios, from AC and DC power sources and is designed to do so in a full tactical environment. EPDAs will power EPLRS radios in fixed stations, tactical vehicles, airborne platforms, as well as marine installations.

Mr. Clement emphasized that EPLRS provides a mobile wireless data communications backbone for the Army’s Tactical Internet, which provides embedded situational awareness and/or position navigation, and is a common system in use by all DOD Services, as well as designated allies.

Clement noted that Rodale has already delivered as part of a separate contract over 10,000 User Read-Outs (UROs) which is another accessory for the EPLRS radio installations.

The AN/ALE-47 is currently installed on approximately 20 different airborne military platforms, including major fighters, attack, patrol, cargo, tanker and helicopter aircraft roles. The main tactical mission is self protection from RF, IR, and EO threats from AAA, SAM, AAMs, and AIs. It is fielded on approximately 3200 combat air vehicles, including critical missions in the Global War on Terror. This contract is particularly important to Rodale in that it supplies the Air Force, Navy, Army and Foreign Military Sales altogether. The CMDS design enables the system to counter future threats through MDF modification and the ability to carry newly developed expendables, in addition to chaff, flare and radio cartridges.
